Yes, Microsoft are releasing a specification that all manufacturers have to meet in order to have Windows Phone 7 on their handsets. One of those requirements is that the handset MUST have a 5 megapixel camera with Flash.

We don’t yet know though if that’s a minimum requirement or a non-changeable requirement (i.e. whether a Windows Phone 7 Series device can have more than a 5mp camera or not)

You know, I don’t want to sound like an Apple Fanboy, cause i am not. But i had WinMo phones, BlackBerries, Symbian phones (N95) and to be hounest with you, iPhone is far superior. I have to agree that Apple should have given users a bit more flexibility to customizing the OS and they should have had Flash support. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than anything on the market at this point.

Lets wait and see, 1 year till WinPho7 is out.

The zune should dramatically increase in popularity once the new phones come out. Especially with the subscription available for free music at a single rate I think once they get flash up apple will start looking pretty pathetic

does it actually have a built in camera?

LOL Steve balmer’s voice is so annoying… but I love the phone!

  7. bathellfire on: 5 March 2010 at 8:19 pm

I just watched the video how Ballmer laughs at iPhone (when it was first released). Haha.. 500 dollars… haha.. no keyboard… HAHA BACK AT YOU FAT BOLD FUK. :) 3 years later Ballmer realized that he was wrong when he laughed at iPhone.

I agree…and not just Microsoft but all other platforms as well – Android, WebOS, Symbian, Sense, TouchWiz etc – most everyone thinks that these have finally got the iPhone beat but they haven’t really taken into account that the iPhone will evolve and then they will play catchup again,…

perhaps, but i don’t think Apple will do nothing in two years time also….

Does this mean that the zune hd app area will be expanded because the zune hd is a very powerful device with a lot of potential and i’d like to see what they can do with it

Zune is very good in smooth transition and the screen quality is very high. Watch it out. In 2 years, it will be bigger than iphone in %.

  15. xxcaseyballardxx on: 6 March 2010 at 12:25 am

looks like it still needs some work. it is not a smooth as the zune hd.. ill probably get both when zune hd comes out in 64gb and the kinks are worked out with the phone.

    pretty soon Android will dominate…

    @flirt

Yay, a phone with bluetooth support!

  18. bathellfire on: 6 March 2010 at 2:17 am

A bit too early to tell. It’s a beta OS running on a concept phone. Definately needs refinements (speed for example and better responsiveness).

What bothers me, is that this os will be released by the end of the year, and it’s trying to catch up with iPhone and Android. Imagine if those 2 platforms evolve into something even better than now, and WinPhone7 will be behind yet again.

Microsoft should start innovating more, not trying to catch up. But yes, it looks promising.

Wow ,even now you can see how BAD the touchscreen is, just look how the guy using the phone is trying HARD…….

  20. FilemakerExpert on: 6 March 2010 at 3:50 am

And GM was 10 times bigger than Toyota in the 80′s 90′s, and look today…. They fight to save their souls….
This remark is out of context…

  21. Keruaran on: 6 March 2010 at 4:02 am

There have always been multiple OS’s in the mobile market. Its just that iPhone OS and Android in particular have brought the OS on your mobile device into prominence where consumers previously did not really think about it.

  22. Keruaran on: 6 March 2010 at 4:05 am

    Exactly.

  23. Blokker1999 on: 6 March 2010 at 5:05 am

Yes, you keep buying iPhones. A phone that is missing functionality that all other phones in the price class have. Functionality that is added slowly on every release, forcing you to buy a new one every time.

And yes, MS has less control, but what is wrong with that? More choice, more competition and more control by the user over his device. MS can not delete apps from your device like Apple can. MS can not prevent you from installing any piece of software.

  24. flirtwd on: 6 March 2010 at 5:09 am

Big fucking deal. Get all technical if you want but I have the iphone 3gs and I love it. And when the new one drops in summer 2010 I’ll most likely get that. Oh yeah, by the way MS doesn’t even control the phones that will run its OS. NO CONTROL. And they sure as hell won’t support it when it’s discontinued. But Apple takes care of its shit.

  25. flirtwd on: 6 March 2010 at 5:53 am

And Henry Ford sold cars before Toyota but Toyota is the biggest selling car company.
