   I show all my undergraduate students these snippets from Terri. I slaved away for hours putting a similar one together and then found Terri on YouTube!

    But that’s the thing. If an element of your voice is distracting to your audience, you should seriously consider working on it. Most likely her audience when this video was shot must have been All-American. But that just serves to prove she was aware of who her audience was.

    good point, but the very strong american accent is indeed a strong distraction. I think if she can make her accent more suttle, it’s going to be much better. I have watched and listened to JDouglas Jefferys, and his american accent never bothered me at all.
