Download and Install: Microsoft Office 2010 Beta

Written By: admin on March 1, 2010 25 Comments

Microsoft Office 2010, codenamed Office 14, is the successor of Microsoft Office 2007, a productivity suite for Microsoft Windows. Extended file compatibility, user interface updates, and a refined user experience are planned for Office 2010. It will be available for Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. With the introduction of Office 2010 a 64-bit version of Office will be available for the first time, although in 64-bit, only for Windows Vista and later client operating systems. Office 2010 is not supported on Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. Office 2010 will mark the debut of free online versions of Word, Excel, powerpoint, and onenote, which will work in popular web browsers (Windows Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari) but not in the Opera browser. Microsoft has confirmed that it will be released during Spring 2010, and a public beta was made available in November 2009. A new edition of Office, Office Starter 2010, will replace the current low-end home productivity software, Microsoft Works. Will instaling this file delet anything from my computer?

LordReserei01 says:

No, installing this will be fine and have no impact on your operating system however when the Beta license runs out (which won’t be for a long time) you’ll most likely have to re-install your previous version of Microsoft Office if you had one installed. =)

SteezyRanqe says:

Thank you soo much mate great job!

LordReserei01 says:

Thank you for the kind words and I’m glad you enjoyed the video. =)

neogaiden says:

I feel so disappointed that XP 64-bit is not supported..

LordReserei01 says:

Definitely a strange move if I may say so…

Even though I use Windows 7 I was an XP user for 6yrs and I’m kind of outraged there’ll be no XP 64-bit support with M$ Office 2010.

“The benefits of 64-bit computing with Office 2010 is best experienced by utilizing the newly introduced 64-bit version of Office 2010 with Windows 7 (64-bit) or Windows Vista (64-bit)”

Isn’t good a enough reason to exclude 64-bit XP.

LordReserei01 says:

There have been reports of installing it via compatibility mode so you could give it a try (I haven’t done it personally). =)

vietgurl2cute says:

to install this do i have to uninstall my office 2007?

LordReserei01 says:

You can leave office 2007 installed and upgrade to 2010 although after the key runs out (which I have no clue when it does) you may have to re-install 2007 either way.

Sorry for the lateness of my reply. =)

revtheory2ik says:

how long does it take to install
1 hour 2?

LordReserei01 says:

Depends on your system specs, with mine it took around 30 minutes although in VirtualBox while making this video it was slightly longer due to how much CPU/RAM I allocated to it plus recording. =)
