How to schedule a calendar appointment (meeting) in Gmail

Google has now integrated the Google calendar with Gmail and it is now possible to schedule a calendar appointment or a meeting, from within your Gmail inbox!!!

Many of you would have probably used Microsoft outlook and the meeting invites in the desktop email client.Scheduling a meeting through your email account is a very important feature and google has now decided to bring in this feature to its web based email service – Gmail. Google could achieve this by integrating its excellent google calendar application with Gmail.

How to send a meeting invite or calendar invite in Gmail?

To schedule a meeting, simply click the “Insert: Invitation” link (that is just below the subject line) that opens a meeting invite template.Simply fill in details like what the meeting is scheduled for (in the description), when it is scheduled and where it will be held.you can also give a brief title to the meeting invite which is similar to the subject line in MS outlook calendar invite.Finally, click “Insert invitiation” button at the bottom to insert the meeting or calendar invite details into your mail body.Add in the recipients and send the meeting or calendar invite.That is it!!!
